Both need to be used to keep the allergy pet comfortable. Allergy shampoo twice a week will eliminate and neutralize the allergens on the pets skin and sprays can be used between shampoo to keep allergen effects to a minimum.

How does an allergen create allergies?
The body's immune system looks to prevent foreign protein and especially viruses and bacteria from invading, by mounting an immune response to them. When dogs gets sensitive to pollen protein, the body mounts a response where that protein comes in contact with the body causing inflammation and itching. The more this issue goes unchecked, the bigger the response the next time. All allergies should be treated.
