Title: IT Systems Support
Reporting to: IT Manager
Classification: Full time, Exempt
Primary Purpose of the Job
The IT Support Technician is responsible for the day-to-day management and maintenance of the company’s technology infrastructure. This role provides help desk support, manages new hire workstation setups, assists with software administration, and contributes to IT projects, ensuring efficient operations and security.
 
Essential Duties
  • Deliver high-quality customer service and technical support to employees and customers.
  • Administer Microsoft 365, including Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange, and Office apps.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues, ensuring timely resolutions.
  • Manage new hire workstation setups, including Windows installation and phone configurations.
  • Serve as the primary contact for IT support tickets, prioritizing and resolving issues.
  • Maintain IT inventory, including asset tracking, replacement planning, and lifecycle management.
  • Assist with NetSuite and other business application administration.
  • Test and validate system updates before deployment.
  • Document business processes, system specifications, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Support IT infrastructure, including on-prem and cloud environments, ensuring system availability.
  • Assist in security management, including access controls and alarm response.
  • Provide after-hours and on-call emergency support as needed.
  • Coordinate office space planning, including IT setup for new workstations.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
 
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 3 years of IT support or system administration experience.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with ITIL, ITSM, and ticketing systems.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to shifting business needs.
  • Excellent organizational and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
 
Working Conditions
  • Occasional overtime and weekend work required.
  • Lift at least 50 lbs.
  • Bend, stand, reach, and sit for periods of time.
Safety Hazards
  • Minimal hazards.  General office working conditions most of the time.
