Zymox^® Otic Enzymatic Solution with Hydrocortisone uses a patented LP3 Enzyme System to create a biological system that is effective against a variety of bacterial, fungal and yeast infections in the ear. The three enzymes (Lactoperoxidase, Lysozyme and Lactoferrin) react with infectious pus and debris, forming their antimicrobial properties to counteract infections. Using a cleaner prior to use will disrupt this biological system, so the solution acts as an ear cleaner and medication in one daily dose.
