What Worms Does Nemex®-2 Treat?
Use the Nemex-2 dewormer to treat your dogs and puppies for large roundworms and hookworms in a single oral dose treatment. The Nemex-2 liquid dewormer for dogs helps to prevent reinfestation of adult dogs, lactating moms following whelping and puppies.
The active ingredient, Pyrantel pamoate, is an effective and safe dewormer. The delicious caramel flavor means most dogs lick it up. For dogs that avoid the dewormer, add the liquid to food or use a syringe to administer it directly into their mouths.
Pyrantel pamoate for dogs helps treat intestinal parasites. Parasites like hookworms, pinworms and roundworms are common in dogs and puppies. A large infestation can lead to nutrient deficiency, weight loss, vomiting, diarrhea and stunted growth in puppies. These effects make deworming a crucial part of responsible pet ownership and care.

Shake the suspension thoroughly before use. Use pyrantel pamoate for dogs only. You do not have to withhold food and water before or after treatment. Store the liquid dewormer under 86 degrees Fahrenheit (30 degrees Celsius). If your dog appears sick, do not treat them with this product. Keep out of the reach of children.
Nemex®-2 dosage for puppies and dogs:
Nemex®-2 should be administered at a ratio of 5 milliliters (one teaspoon) for every 10 pounds of weight. Unlike other medications, there is no need to withhold food or water before or following treatment. In most cases, dogs will lick the liquid willingly. If this is not the case for your dog, mix the dose with a small amount of food. Follow-up fecal exams should be conducted approximately 2-4 weeks post-treatment.
For best results, puppies should be treated at 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, and 10 weeks. Following whelping, lactating mothers should be treated after 2-3 weeks. Dogs living in heavily contaminated spaces should be treated each month.
