This Antigen Canine Parvovirus Antigen Test Kit is designed to detect the canine Parvovirus antigen in canine feces. Canine parvovirus, or parvo, is a highly contagious and sometimes fatal disease. It affects the gastrointestinal tract, destroying the lining of the small intestine and causing symptoms like fever, abdominal pain, vomiting and hemorrhagic loose stool.

While all dogs can catch this disease, puppies 6 weeks to 6 months of age and unvaccinated or incompletely vaccinated dogs are most at risk. It spreads easily through direct dog-to-dog contact or contact with infected environments, people or feces.

In order to diagnose this disease, you can use a parvo rapid test kit. These tests contain specially selected antibodies that can detect the Parvovirus at home. It's designed to be quick and simple to use — but most importantly, it offers a high degree of accuracy.

In just 5 to 10 minutes, you'll receive results from the Parvovirus antigen test kit. Keep the test devices in their individually sealed pouches until they are ready to use. Opening or removing them can impact how well these tests work. Also, to ensure the safety and effectiveness of each test kit, do not mix any of the components from different lot numbers.

This kit, which is made in the USA, is USDA-licensed and has a 2-year shelf life. It can be safely stored at room temperature or refrigerated from 36-86 degrees Fahrenheit (2-30 degrees Celsius). Do not freeze or store the test kit in direct sunlight.
  1. The test should be performed at room temperature. Before conducting the test, all kit elements and specimen should be brought to room temperature.
  2. Collect the samples from canine feces using the swab.
  3. Insert the swab into the specimen tube containing 1 ml of assay diluent.
  4. Mix the swab samples with the assay diluent to extract well.
  5. Remove the test device from the foil pouch, and place it on a flat and dry surface.
  6. Use the disposable dropper provided to take the samples from extracted and mixed specimens in the tube.
  7. Add 4 drops into the sample hole using the disposable dropper. The mixed assay diluent should be added exactly, slowly, drop by drop.
  8. As the test begins to work, you will see a purple color move across the result window in the center of the test device. If the migration has not appeared after 1 minute, add one more drop of the mixed assay diluent to the sample well.
  9. Interpret test results at 5 to 10 minutes. Do not decide after 20 minutes.
