Can I Cut My Dogs Pills in Half?

Some tablets are scored, which means you’ll see a little line down the middle making it easier to split. But not all medications have this capability. Without this line, the tablets more easily crumble when splitting and it’s harder to get the proper dose.

If you find yourself needing to split a dosage on a tablet that is not scored, it is best to contact your vet to determine if this is the best option for you.

If you have trouble getting your dog to take a pill, tablet or capsule because it is too big, Doc Roy’s Pill Hiders are a great solution. Plus these dog pill hiders contain probiotics for dogs to support digestive and immune health.
