Paw Squad Life

Paws for a Cause 2020

Tie up your running shoes, grab your pooch’s leash… you’re invited to a virtual fun run and doggie dash! The third annual Paws for a Cause 5K Fun Run and Doggie Dash is going to look and feel a little different this year. But in a great new way! In the interest of keeping participants safe and healthy, Paws for a Cause will be a virtual run this year. So whether you’re in Orange City, IA… Orange County, California… Orangeville, Utah or anywhere else, invite your friends, family members and neighbors across the country to participate in the Paws for a Cause virtual event. What is Paws for a Cause? The Revival Animal Health Paw Squad organizes this event as a way to reach out and give back to the community. In past years, the event has been held in Orange City, IA. Each year, event organizers select a pet-focused nonprofit and 100 percent of proceeds are given to that organization. The 2020 recipient will be Wet Nose Rescue in Plymouth County, Iowa. This nonprofit works to raise awareness and funding for a Plymouth County animal shelter and adoption center. The 5K and the one-mile doggie dash can be done either with or without a dog! If a 5K is a bit much for you or your pooch, the one-mile doggie dash is a perfect opportunity to get out and do something healthy with your four-legged friend! No need to dash, you can also stroll. How can I be part of this tail-wagging event? Simply register at Getmeregistered.com/PawsforaCauseRun. The virtual event will be held between August 19th and 29th, 2020. That means you’ll have ten days, wherever you are located, to do your walk/run/doggie dash at your own pace. What’s the benefit of signing up early? The first 100 registrants will get Paws for a Cause t-shirts and swag bags! Those will be shipped to you before the start date so you can wear your shirt out on your run. After signing up, you’ll also get a link to the event’s Facebook group where we’d love to see pictures of you on your run or with your four-legged friends on your doggie dash. Signup today and be part of this pawsome virtual event!
