To help ensure accuracy, this scale for animals features a tare function. The tare function on a scale allows unwanted weight to not be counted such as a blanket or towel. Powered by 2 AAA batteries (not included).
The Remote Display features a large LCD display and a 72" cord with connector plug to allow you to easily mount the remote display on a wall at eye level or on a nearby counter or tabletop. The scale with remote display can be operated from either set of control buttons. The display on the remote will be the same as the scale display.

Storage: For use indoors in a dry area. Although it will operate at higher and lower temperatures the scales battery life will be adversely effected. Ideal operating temperature between 40° F to 95° F.
Press the On/Off button. 0:0 will appear on the display screen. Place your pet on the scale platform near the center or evenly distributed. When the pet is relatively still, press the Hold button. (Note: You must press the Hold button for the scale to calculate and record the weight in the display screen). The display screen numbers will flash several times while determining the correct weight and then automatically display the weight for about six second before turning off.
To setup the optional Remote Display feature, simply plug the remote into the scale and power on the scale using either the remote or the scale control buttons.
Cleaning We would recommend using alcohol based wipes or similar when cleaning the scales. Do not use large amounts of water when cleaning the scales as this will cause damage to the scales electronics, you should also refrain from using corrosive liquids or high pressure washers. Always disconnect the scales from the mains power supply before cleaning.
