Solo-Jec® 5 is a primary vaccine for healthy puppies at or over 6 weeks old. Generally, it helps puppies stay safe as they grow and reduces their chances of experiencing various conditions common in young mammals.
How Does Solo-Jec® 5 Single Dose Work?
Specifically, a single dose of the Solo-Jec® 5 injection supports puppies' immune systems with five-way disease protection against parvovirus, CAV2, parainfluenza and canine distemper. Animals are particularly susceptible to certain diseases at a young age, and this vaccination assists their developing systems in staying healthy.
Solo-Jec® 5 Specs
This product is a single-dose vaccine, meaning the needle and other supplies should be discarded following injection into a puppy's muscle or under their skin.
Some general instructions for the Solo-Jec® vaccine include:
- One package comes with a single-dose vial of the dry vaccine, diluent, disposable syringe and needle.
- Store the medication out of direct sunlight at 35-45 degrees Fahrenheit.
- This medication is simple to administer to the puppy. Consult your veterinarian and follow the instructions closely for the animal's safety.
- As a general rule, use this injection only for healthy puppies — not for pregnant or otherwise ill animals. It should also not be used for ferrets or mink.
- Burn vaccine containers and other unused supplies after use for proper disposal.
While this specific product is only a single dose of the vaccine, Revival Animal Health offers two bulk purchasing options in counts of 10 or 25. Order yours today. Feel free to contact our professionals at 1-800-786-4751 with any questions!

Other Solo-Jec® Vaccines:
1 (one) dose vial of dry vaccine
1 (one) ml vial of vaccine diluent
1 (one) disposable syringe/needle
Contains Gentamicin, Amphotericin B and thimerosal as a preservative.
Only vaccinate healthy animals. Animals incubating any disease or stressed due to shipping, malnutrition, or parasitism may not achieve or maintain an adequate immune response.
Do not vaccinate pregnant bitches.
Do not use in ferrets or mink.
Protective immunity may not be completely established in all puppies vaccinated at less than 16 weeks of age because of maternal antibody interference.
Store out of direct sunlight at 35°-45° F (2-7° C). Do not freeze. Do not mix with other vaccines. Use new, non-chemically sterilized needles and syringes. Use entire contents when first opened.
Burn vaccine containers and all unused contents.
For subcutaneous injection lift the loose skin behind the neck or behind front leg and insert needle. Inject entire contents of syringe. Do not inject directly into blood vessel.
For intramuscular administration, insert needle into muscle of the hind limb. Inject entire contents of syringe. Do not inject directly into blood vessel. Important note: Before injecting vaccine, pull back slightly on syringe plunger. If blood enters the syringe freely, choose another injection site.
Puppies nine weeks or younger: Vaccinate healthy puppies at three to four week intervals until 16 weeks of age for at least three doses.
Puppies over nine weeks and adults: Give minimum of two doses at three to four week intervals. Annual revaccination with a single dose is recommended.
