Storage:
Unopened powder should be stored in a cool, dry location. Opened powder must be refrigerated for up to three months or can be frozen for up to six months to preserve freshness. Do not freeze Esbilac® Liquid in original container.
This product is intended for intermittent or supplemental feeding only.
Esbilac® Liquid Directions for Use: Shake well. Refrigerate after opening. To assure freshness, discard or freeze within 3 days.

All puppies should receive their mother's milk for at least two days, if possible. This colostrum milk gives extra nutrition and temporary immunity against some diseases.
Liquid: Esbilac® Liquid may be fed at the daily rate of two tablespoons of liquid (30 ml) per 4 oz (115 g) of body weight. The daily feeding rate should be divided into equal portions for each feeding.
Puppies' needs vary and this amount may have to be increased or decreased, depending on the individual. Small or weak puppies may need to be fed Esbilac® Liquid every three to four hours, while larger puppies do well when fed Esbilac® Liquid every eight hours. Weigh the puppies daily to assure adequate feeding.

Pregnant or Lactating Bitches: Mix Esbilac® Liquid into the daily ration at the rate of two tablespoons (30 ml) per 5 lb (2.2 kg) body weight.
Esbilac® Powder Directions for Use: Gently shake or stir one part powdered Esbilac® Powder into two parts warm water. A part is any measuring device you use: teaspoon, tablespoon, or cup. Do not use a blender.

Pregnant or Lactating Bitches: Mix Esbilac® Powder into the daily ration at the rate of two teaspoons (4 g) per 5 lb (2.2 kg) of body weight until two weeks after whelping.
Reconstituted Esbilac® Powder must be kept refrigerated. Discard unused portion after 24 hours. Opened powder must be refrigerated for up to three months or can be frozen for up to 6 months.
A 12 oz can of Esbilac® Powder makes approximately 60 oz of liquid when mixed 1:2. A 28 oz can of powder makes approximately 140 oz of liquid when mixed 1:2. A 5 lb pail makes approximately 400 oz when mixed 1:2.
