Product Details
  • 100% naturally derived formula to control of rats and mice
  • Contains no poison
  • Safe for use around animals, children, food and crops
  • Starts working immediately and kills in 24-48 hours
  • For indoor and outdoor use
Remove rats and mice from your yard, practice or kennel without the risk of poisons or dangerous chemicals. Your animals will be safe as you work to control pests, as this formula only affects rats and mice. RatX works by coating the rodent's digestive system, preventing it from feeling thirst. This leads to dehydration, kidney damage, blood thickening, and coma. The rat or mouse becomes tired, retreats to its burrow, and dies. Just clear away other food sources and bait in areas where the rodents have been seen; within three to five days, sightings should decrease. With RatX, you don't need to worry about the smells of decay because it causes decomposition due to dehydration, similar to mummification.
How RatX works: Rats have a unique digestive system. Their lower guts are covered in a coating of fine hairs called villi, and RatX works by coating these villi, which prevents the rat or mouse from feeling thirst. This leads to dehydration, kidney damage, blood thickening, coma and death.

For use in: livestock yards, pig and poultry farms, conventional and organic farming, equestrian centers, game farms, forestry and woodland management, food processing/packing/storing facilities, domestic/industrial/retail premises, secure institutions, hospitals, schools, parks and other areas.

Fully biodegradable. No special requirements for transportation, handling, storage or disposal. No risk of primary or secondary poisoning.

For humans, the toxicity of RatX is equivalent to that of salt or sugar. However, it is still advised to keep RatX out of reach of children.
Indoor Use: Prior to treatment, all likely food sources must be removed or made unavailable to rats and mice. Place bait traps in bait points where there are signs of rat and mouse activity, like fresh droppings, inside or near rat runs and feeding areas. Place 40-60 grams or 1½ to 2 ounces per rat or 10-15 grams or ⅓ - ½ ounce per mouse into small bowls or feeding trays approximately 6 feet apart through the infested area. Protect bait points from non-target animals and from water. Inspect bait points frequently and replace any eaten bait. Replace any baits which become wet and re-site in a dry location. Keep topping up bait points until there are no more takes for 48 hours.

Outdoor Use: Place bait points where there are signs of rat or mouse activity, like fresh droppings or near burrows, runways, feeding places and at points of entry around the perimeter of buildings. Place 40-60 grams or 1½ to 2 ounces per rat or 10-15 grams or ⅓ - ½ ounce per mouse into bait stations or wrap in clinging food packaging film and place in drainpipes, open ended boxes or under sheets of metal/wood secured at an angle against a wall (to keep the bait point dry) at intervals of approximately 6 feet, reducing to approximately 4 feet in areas of high infestation. Protect bait points from non-target animals and (as the baits must be kept dry) from water. Inspect bait points frequently and replicate any eaten bait. Replace any baits which become wet and re-sire in a dry location. If you require more bait trays within the activity area, we suggest you use flowerpot saucers or something similar.

RatX can also be placed directly into rat or mouse holes, nesting or feeding areas. Wrap 40-60 grams or 1½ to 2 ounces per rat or 10-15 grams or ⅓ - ½ ounce per mouse in clinging food packaging film and push down the burrow. Rats and mice carry disease, so never use unprotected hands. Push product into burrow with a long stick or similar. Replenish packets daily until there are either no more takes, or no activity, for 48 hours.

Remove alternative food sources or make them hard to reach. Rodent activity should decrease three to five days after dosing, as RatX causes dehydration, kidney damage, blood thickening and coma. Rodents then retreat to their burrows and die.

Keep product dry, as it is less effective if it becomes wet.

Precautions: Rats and mice carry disease. Therefore, remove all remains of bait and bait containers after treatment and dispose of safely. Search for rat and mice bodies and dispose of safely (e.g. burn or bury). Do not dispose of in trash cans, dumpsters or transfer stations.

Use precautions to avoid the possibility of disease transmission. Wear disposable gloves. Use household disinfectants at the recommended concentrations to rat or mouse droppings, nests and surrounding areas, and allow at least 15 minutes contact before removal. Clean up with paper towels or a mop. Dispose of gloves and wash hands thoroughly with soap and water.

To Use Bait Discs: Place the discs in holes and runs frequented by rats and/or mice. Place 10 feet apart in the infested areas (5 feet apart in high-infestation areas). Refill target areas to ensure that all rodents have eaten.
