How Often Do You Give Bene-Bac® Plus?
Use Bene-Bac® Plus any time your pet experiences adverse conditions such as at birth, prior to supplementing a newborn's diet with milk replacer, at weaning or with dietary changes, one or two hours after worming, or when pets are treated with antibiotics.
Bene-Bac® Plus contains live, naturally occurring microorganisms that are found in the intestinal tracts of mammals. It includes FOS, a prebiotic for enhanced GI health. Bene-Bac® Plus Gel is available in a 15-gram oral syringe. The Bene-Bac® Plus Powder is easily fed by top-dressing over moist or dry food. Store in cool, dry conditions. Refrigeration not necessary.
Directions for Use:
Bene-Bac® Plus Gel: Newborns: give ¼ - ½ gm at birth on days 3, 5, 7 and at weaning. Hand-fed orphans: increase to ½ - 1 gm on days 7, 14 and introduction to solid food. Post weaning: l gm up to 10 lb body weight; feed 1 additional gm for each 10 lb of body weight up to 50 lb. Use gel 2 times, 3 days apart. Place in mouth or mix with food.
Bene-Bac® Plus Powder: Feed animals by top dressing food. One level teaspoon equals 2.7 grams of powder. Initial feeding: treat on days 1, 3, 5 and 7 and then give one feeding a week until weaned. Up to ½ lb give ¼ tsp; ½ -1 lb give ½ tsp; 1-5 lb give 1 tsp; 5-20 lb 2 tsp; 20+ lb give 3 tsp.
Discard uneaten food after 8 hours and thoroughly wash dishes.
