Dog Is Losing Patches of HairWhat does it mean if my dog is losing his hair in patches? Mites that live on or in the skin of your dog can lead to patches of hair loss. These can be associated with a secondary bacterial disease or can be caused by allergies. A visit to your veterinarian for testing for mites, culturing for ringworm, and evaluation for allergies can lead to a diagnosis and specific treatment. You and your pet will be relieved and much more comfortable.
