NeoPar® is recommended for the vaccination of healthy dogs against diseases caused by canine Parvovirus. Provides maximum protection. This vaccine contains a high antigen mass (more vaccine units per dose), which results in a short period from vaccination to protection, a higher level of protection, and a long duration of immunity. NeoPar® stimulates antibody production in the presence of existing maternal antibodies. Found to be safe for use in young puppies. This is a modified live version of the virus.
For use in dogs only.
Store between 2° and 7°C (35° and 45°F). Do not freeze.
Shake well before using.
Prolonged exposure to higher temperatures and/or direct sunlight may adversely affect potency.
Use entire contents when first opened.
Use new, non-chemically sterilized needles and syringes.
Burn containers and all unused contents.
Dosage:
  • Recommended for the vaccination of healthy dogs 42 days of age or older.
  • Shake well. Aseptically inject 1 ml subcutaneously or intramuscularly into healthy dogs.
  • Administer the initial dose at or about 42 days of age.
  • Because there is potential for maternal antibody to interfere with the immune response, revaccinate every 14 to 21 days until the dog is 18 weeks of age.
  • Dogs over 18 weeks of age should receive a single dose (1 ml).
  • Annual revaccination with one dose is recommended.
Warnings:
  • Contains gentamicin and amphotericin B as preservatives.
  • Vaccinate only healthy, non-parasitized dogs.
  • Do not vaccinate pregnant bitches.
  • In case of anaphylaxis: epinephrine, corticosteroids, and antihistamines may all be indicated depending on the nature and severity of the reaction.

Maybe? But Abused

Cons:
It seems to me that Breeders are failing to read the directions. 7×4=28, 7x5=35; neither of these add up to 42 days. Administration of a Live virus is risky to a pups health, which needs to be focused on development, not on dealing with a live virus, even if modified. Breeders are becoming over zealous and not following the recommended treatment program. Further, Breeders should be preparing for Parvo environment long before birth and not relying on some miracle drug.

A must for breeders

The best parvo vaccine out there, it's saved my in home hobby breeding business after I was exposed by a fellow breeder. She lost 16 puppies and young adults and racked up tens of thousands trying to save them. I lost two pups but was spared from any other losses after immediately vaccinating with Neopar. I've maintained a booster every 24mths on adults and vaccinate at 5 and 8 weeks on my toy sized pups and have been safe, even when I was exposed again when bringing in a new dog who happened to be sick with parvo. Lost the new dog but not a single other dog got sick. Neopar works!

Stoped Parvo Cycle

Cons:
As a Breeder and kennel operator parvo is almost a death sentience to your business. I worked with NeoTech and changed my vaccination schedule, starting puppies at 4 weeks with the Neo-Par and again at 5 weeks they resume normal schedule vaccinations every two weeks with Neo-Par and Da2. We have been parvo free for three years. NeoTech is the best!!

I am very please with the NeoPar vaccines. You can give the Parvo shot at an early age so they are protected sooner. I will order this again

No Vet Visits for young puppies

Rating:
Pros:
Cons:
I wish more mainstream pet owners would vaccinate their own pets. I brought my puppy home in 2012. Instead of visiting the vet every three weeks to the tune of at least $70 per visit, I purchased the single dose vaccines and vaccinated myself. My puppy was not exposed to the possibly infested vet office and I could easily monitor her after the vaccine was given. I was also able to separate the administration of the vaccines by 30 minutes to watch for potential reactions or problems. A one time shipment with all of may vaccines for the first year of life was around $60. Cheaper than ONE vet visit. I do not condone not going to the vet for wellness exams but there is no need to pay the astronomical amount for vaccines that vets charge.
