Top Tag Pet ID can help the breeder on two levels. The breeder can suggest the
prospective owner buy Top Tag and take it home to fill out the contact and vet
information. Then bring it back so the breeder can enter the information on the
puppy. If the prospective owner is serious about pet welfare and buying the
puppy, he or she will be happy to purchase and fill out Top Tag.
When the breeder enters information he or she should include several photos.
-The pup alone in front of the breeder’s sign
-The new owners with the pup in front of the breeder’s sign.
-The breeder with the pup in front of the sign
-Sire and Dam papers
In addition, all of the breeder’s contact information should be listed under
the breeder question on the Basic Information page.
Top Tag As A Pet Sitter Tool
Every pet sitting client should have a Top Tag on his or her pet(s). Also, the
pet sitter should give the client a loose leaf book with all of the pages
printed out and this book should be kept up to date by the sitter. Pet owners
will be reluctant to change sitters because the new sitter may not be as
familiar with Top Tag and computers.
Top Tag As A Groomer Tool
Groomer should take before and after pictures and complete the grooming section
for the client.
Special Note: Veterinarians, Breeders, Pet Sitters and Groomers should
never sell blank Top Tag Pet IDs to their clients/customers. They can use the
back up and restore feature and preload every Top Tag Pet ID prior to the sale.
