How To Mix Vaccines

Step 1 - Take the liquid (diluent) bottle and turn upside down and insert a steril needle into the vial. Slowly pull back the syringe plunger to withdraw the contents into the syringe.

Step 2 - Now, take the dry (dessicant or cake) bottle and insert the needle that is holding the liquid and push the plunger to release all of the liquid.

Step 3- Remove the needle and gently shake the bottle until it is completely mixed.

Step 4 - Insert the needle back into the mixed bottle and slowly pull back the syringe plunger to withdraw the contents into the syringe. Tap the syringe lightly to be sure there is no excess air or air bubbles.
