I purchased the veterycin spray for my cats ringworm on her arm. I took her to the vet her wound was not open just a little pink...the vet prescribed miconasol drops and said to get a cone so she could not lick the medication. I did as the vet recommended only my Lola got the cone off and licked the miconasol began foaming at the mouth gagging and having seizure like activity, luckily she was fine after about an hour. I was so upset and decided not to put it on again. I was also so upset to see the next day her wound was now open, red/raw and had a discharge now and my poor kitty had a limp most likely from the pain.The vet stated that rarely that medication can "burn". I have used this on the dogs, goats, and myself. It heals any wound quickly. There is no sting, and the animals do not object to it. In fact,,, the dogs don't even bother to lick after it is sprayed ! which is amazing because everything else I have used, they want to lick off. It may have very simple ingredients, and infact it smells mildly like pool water... but I don't care what is in it, IT WORKS.
