It worked fine until the small cheap plastic broke. I could have repaired it, but even after contacting them on multiple occasion... nope!... The principle is great, but construction is not... An the most wearable piece is not even available as a consumable!!!!

Buy something else!

Two issues thus far: 1) the dish part will not stay locked into the unit so the food falls under it and 2) the top lid does not stay on so my cat pigs out whenever he wants and is getting fat. My cat scratches the woodwork when dinner is late so figured this would be worth a try as it can feed him three times a day even when I am late getting home. The concept was spot on, but it has not worked so well in practice. He has figured out that if he drags it around and tips it over, sooner or later the lid will pop off and presto, he can eat as much as he wants. Every few days he manages to pig out. If I put less in, I have to refill it more often and makes it easier for him to tip. Tried blocking it in a corner with a 30lb tub of litter and that slows him down a bit but he still manages to bust into it. Thinking I need to buy another brand and use this one on a less ravenous cat.
