I was having a problem with ticks on my fox hounds. I purchased 5 of these collars and put them on my dogs. I was hunting with my brother whose dogs did not have any tick collars and some days had as many as 4 or 5 ticks on them. My dogs remained pretty much tick free the entire month. I rated the collar a four as I did have one of the small buckles that hold it on the dog come off.
