This is the absolute best way to deliver calcium to a female dog who is in whelp!!! You don't give it until after the first puppy is delivered. But once the first puppy is out, it will make moms contractions so strong and you can't hurt anything! I give some after each puppy. This is the only formula that I can give to a whelping mother that doesn't make them sick! In fact they love the taste! I cannot recommend this enough.

Bought this product for my daughter for when her female was whelping her litter. Her female had a very easy labor and delivery. Will use this product in the future.

I have not used this product yet, someone shared with me the benefits of this product. With that information I want to be prepared, for the benefit of my dogs especially at the time of whelping. Thanks again.

This is an excellent product. I give it 5 Stars. It really works. I have a dog who had problems during whelping last year. She got tired and her contractions weren't good. I have to contact the Vet for help. This year, I bought the Breeder's edge Oral Cal Plus. I gave it according to the directions. She had excellent contractions and had 7 puppies with no problems. I am 100% sold on this product. I will continue to use this product every time I have a litter of puppies due. Thank you for such a good, helpful product!!

This product not only helps during whelping, but also after the pups are nursing. We had a bitch who began to growl at her pups on day 2. We researched and found that bitches can have low calcium due to the demand of lactating and need additional calcium. I had been using Sure Grow Calcium after she whelped, but switched to Oral Cal because it is quickly assimilated. She was fine within 24 hours.
