Our dog developed serious IBD and was intensive care for over a week. She is a fighter and survived. When we brought her home her level of calcium in her body was still very low. Oral Cal has been so easy to use. My Poms, whether they are in labor or after whelping, are very happy to lick the syringe tip to be sure to get every bit of their dose. I have used it to calm restless new mothers to settle them down and nurse the new litter. Two years ago, I had a pup that began to have seizures after her 1st vaccination. The seizures would make her run, growl, and attack litter mates. Research indicated she had a brain malfunction which involved a need for calcium.
