This heating pad holds the heat for a long time. The cover is very soft and easy to wash and dry. When I first microwaved it I couldn't feel the warmth through the fleece. When I put my fingers inside it was very hot! I recommend this product to keep your critters warm!

This is an update to my previous review. I have found that the way I "tested" these pads out was why they didn't stay warm for the 8-10 hours as described. I have since used them in my puppy's sleep area and they work as described I happy to say. When I tested them I warmed them as the instruction state. But I put them on my kitchen counter. They were always cold by 4-5 hours. However, when used in the puppy's sleep area they stayed warm through the night.

I had a litter of Pugs and our electricity went out unexpectedly. I borrowed these disc to keep them warm until they turned our power back on. It was out for 6 hours and they kept them warm the entire time. Now I keep all my dogs warm on cold nights with Snuggle Safe Heating pads.

I was very happy with this product. We have Chihuahuas that, especially as pups, like extra warmth. This product is perfect!! It really holds the heat for a long time, 10-12 hrs when zapped per instructions. I slip it under the bed in each dogs pen and they love it! I have had no dogs try to chew it and don't think they could do much if any damage. It is handy too for trips to vet when the pups are young.

My only complaint is I wish the cover that comes with it was a tad more heavy duty. The Velcro strips tend to come loose fairly quickly.
