These dog doors seem to last only a short while then need replaced. It cost is a lot to replace them every time at $54.00 each time. I have 9 of these...I just bought 1 to replace that broke in pieces now I need 3 more to replace the ones that are breaking into pieces. They get very dirty, crack then break.

These doors have been a part of our kennel for years. They are easily cleaned and easily used, but they are easily cracked by our golden retrievers. We have replaced doors multiple times.

NEVER HAD ANY TROUBLE WITH THESE DOORS EXCEPT IF SUBJECTED TO DIRECT SUN WHICH CAN CAUSE MINOR CRACKING. HAD TO MOVE THE DOG HOUSE

TO FACE ANOTHER DIRECTION. HAVE HAD 2 IN BOTH ENGLISH PONTER BIRD DOG HOUSES FOR A 12 YRS. MUST COAT MAGNETS WITH BABY OIL IN WINTER TO KEEP MOISTURE FROM INSIDE DUE TO BODY HEAT COLLECTING & FREEZING ON MAGNETS. HAVE HAD ONE ON MY OTHER DOGHOUSE FOR 13 YRS.

I did not realize that this door was a single piece. What you see in the photo is all that you get unlike other doors that have another piece that goes on the other side of the door. If I had realized this, I would have bought something different. We had to do framing on the other side in order to keep the rough edges of a metal door covered. I have noticed that the magnet does not always catch and leaves the door popped in with a breeze coming through. However, I have never seen a door that didn't let some amount of air in. All in all, it is an okay door but for the money, I wish I would have purchased something with two pieces.

I bought 12 of these for my yorkie kennel. Believe me they take a beating. My little girls are in and out constantly. I have had them now for 2 years, and they are still going strong. Just put them straight ( not in a twist). We had to redo a few, and straighten them up. They also keep weather and bug out. I will buy again if i need to.
