I have a Himalayan Cattery and buy this product in the 5 lb container in powder form. My cats and kittens are on a raw meat regime and the powder mixes very quickly and easily into their morning meat meal.

I wish your website directions were more specific on dosages.

Just saying 1-5 grams a day is not very helpful for people shopping around.

My container says:

Dogs/cats under 1.0 lb give 1/4 tsp per day

1.0 to 10 lb. give 1/2 teas per day

one rounded teaspoon = 5g

it does come with a 1 teas. scoop in the container.

I like the fact that it has more than one strain of bacteria in the ingredients.

In shopping to make a choice I found many pro-biotic products have fewer or just one stain.

This product has four:

dried enterococcus faecium fermentation product

dried lactobacillus acidophilus fermentation product

dried lactobacillus casei fermentation product

dried lactobacillus plantarum fermentation product

I do not give it a 5 star as I have no way of knowing how well any probiotics do or don't perform.

I can say that the cats in my cattery do not get diarrhea unless it is a side-effect of a medicine their are given, or they are really stressed.

My 8 month pup was suffering from loose stools for a couple weeks after I accidentally gave her too much worm medication. She was acting tired and depressed, probably from anemia due to the loose stools and not getting the proper nutrition. She started improving around the same time I started giving her the Probios tabs but after a few days, started improving and in a week or two had totally turned back into the playful fun pup that we'd really missed. We feared there was some kind of other medical issue w/ her but she is now the most fun loving active normal dog we'd missed. I am back to feeding her whatever I want and her stools are solid and normal looking. I am no longer giving her the Probios tabs but saving them for when she has another bout of loose stools.

My Veterinarian got me started using the gel for my dogs and puppies. I will never run out of it. It is the best thing to help with stress, diarrhea and vomiting. I raise Yorkshire Terriers and have some rescue

terriers.....they all get it including puppies needed and best thing is - IT WORKS!

THIS PRODUCT CONTAINS ALUMINUM...this is a potentially hazardous ingredient to humans so why risk it with your pets?! Over a long period of time it could have detrimental affects. I just cannot chance it.

A rule at our house of cats is that no one takes an antibiotic without a probiotic ! I use the Probiacin oral gel for the cats because it is easy to administer and the cats like the taste. I store the Probiacin gel in the wine refrigerator where it's cool and dark. I recommend this for cats taking antibiotics, and for any gastrointestinal upset.
