I volunteer at an animal shelter and these are great to keep cats from spilling food and water. good price too.

These bowls work great if a dog/puppy isn't inclined to fiddle with them. However, most of my dogs can twist the single bolt sizes and dump them. I literally twisted the bolt off the plate on the other side trying to get it tight enough to keep the bowl upright. They're a good idea, but all sizes need 2 bolts to make them usable for most dogs! The large bowls with 2 bolts are fine for most of my dogs. Unfortunately, I need the 20 oz, or possibly the 30 oz with the size crates I use. I would buy a ton of these if they could fix them so they wouldn't tip.

These are totally a wast of money. I would send them back but it would probably be more hassle than just throwing them out and learning to weld my own stuff. I ordered 4 of these and when I went to use them none of them could be attached to the wire pen I had bought them for. All 4 of them had the same problem to varying degree of uselessness. If you really want these you might also want to get some paint stripper to try to free up the threads so you can get the sharped edged wing nuts to move freely and you will also want to get yourself some washers since there is a large gap between end of the thread and clamping plates and are unable to get these tight enough to not fall on the floor. Now that I have; broke the nuts free from the painted threads, cleaned all the paint out of the threads and bought the extra supplies only time will tell if the slick plates will be able to hold on to the wire well enough that the dogs won't just dump the food and water back on the floor.

Over all, hard to use and poorly made.
