I use Nutri-Cal Puppy gel to provide sustaining nutrition for my puppy on the long flight from Germany to USA. Pup is crated for approximately 13 hrs.
My little guy is getting older and had gotten a bit thin. He still had a little weight on him but I was concerned he was becoming debilitated. He gets a teaspoon of Nutri-Cal each morning now and he's looking better.
My cats love this but not as much as the Doc Roys Forti Cal. I use it as a treat for my cats a couple of times a day. Since one of my cats is not a good eater and needs to gain weight, I give her more than recommended and she is gaining weight and seems to have more energy. She is also a show cat so the Nutri-Cal gives her the extra energy and nutrition she needs during the show since she doesn't eat well at the show. I keep plenty on hand so I don't run out.
Non-eating animals inhale Nutrical
I have a dog and 2 cats in my multi-animal menagerie that, due to ongoing health issues, just get very picky about eating - or stop altogether.
However, I keep a good stock of the Nutrical on hand and let them lap up as much as they want. It provides them with high calories and basic nutrients to get them past their eating slump.
My cupboards always have it on hand.
Nutri-Cal - Kitten
"My baby Persian had stopped eating when her mom decided it
was time to wean them. I could not get her to eat anything.
I mixed a little Nutri-Cal with water and gave her a syringe full.
She perked up almost immediately and was stronger the next day.
Without it she would not have survived - I continued to give her
the Nutri-Cal daily and finally she started eating wet - dry baby cat food
and finally I got her to sample wet canned food. She continued to
improved daily and now is a fat, little butterball. Thanks Nutri-Cal."
