Kennel Cough can be caused by canine Parainfluenza and Bordetella bronchiseptica. This disease, which affects a dog's respiratory system, is very contagious. It can quickly spread in confined spaces like pet stores and kennels, which is how the disease got its name.

Solo-Jec® KC is an intranasal kennel cough vaccine that protects against the two major strains. The disease is often transmitted through airborne particles, which is why the vaccine is designed to stimulate immunity inside the nasal passage. By targeting the area where the disease process begins, it can provide rapid onset of immunity.

It can be given to healthy dogs 3 weeks of age and up. Puppies that receive the vaccine between 3 and 6 weeks of age should be revaccinated at 6 weeks and then annually.

AutoShip is now available! AutoShip is the most convenient way to get the items you need delivered on a regular schedule, so you never run out. You can also save 5% on every AutoShip Order.

Other Solo-Jec® Vaccines:

This intranasal kennel cough vaccine is designed to be quick and easy to use. It offers flexible dosing to treat dog breeds of all different sizes as long as the dog is healthy. This vaccine is not to be injected.

Because it's delivered intranasally, dogs won't experience injection site discomfort or pain. Instead, the vaccine can be delivered right into their nose with the included applicator.

After mixing, the vaccine should be administered immediately. To ensure the dosage remains safe and effective, it should be stored out of direct sunlight between 35-45 degrees Fahrenheit (2-7 degrees Celsius). Do not freeze the vaccine. Any unused contents and containers should be burned.

Depending on your needs, we also carry Solo-Jec® KC Single Dose here at Revival Animal Health.
Dosage:
  • Vaccinate healthy puppies 3 weeks of age or older.
  • Using aseptic technique, rehydrate the freeze-dried vaccine with the accompanying 1 ml of liquid diluent. For a dose with ½ the volume, reconstitute only 0.5 ml of the diluent.
  • Shake until dissolved and use immediately.
  • Use enclosed dropper or applicator tip to administer the entire dose intranasally. For the comfort of the dog and to reduce potential for sneezing, tilt head upward, insert dropper or nasal tip into nostril and gently administer the vaccine.
  • Puppies vaccinated between 3 and 6 weeks of age should be revaccinated at 6 weeks.
  • Annual revaccination is recommended.
Warnings:
  • Vaccinate only healthy, non-parasitized dogs.
  • Contains Neomycin as a preservative.
  • Do not vaccinate pregnant bitches.
  • The use of a biological product may produce anaphylaxis and/or other inflammatory immune-mediated hypersensitivity reactions. Antidote: Epinephrine.
