Urinary Tract Health

How is cranberry beneficial for urinary tract health?

When bacteria like E. coli is able to attach to the urinary tract cells, it can withstand the normal body-cleansing mechanisms. This leads to infection in the bladder or kidneys.

Cranberry is able to disable the cell structure of E. coli, which prevents its ability to adhere and colonize in the urinary tract lining. It also helps reduce the risk for calcium oxalate stones that are caused by UT infections. If your pet is prone to UT problems or has reoccurring UT infections, cranberry may be a helpful way to prevent further problems and maintain their good health.
