Omega 3…a natural anti-inflammatory that works!

Nutraceutical products are nutritional products or herbs that have therapeutic effects. Nutraceuticals are increasingly being used with other treatments to either enhance the effects or to carry on after initial therapy to ensure recovery happens. The anti-inflammatory effect of Omega 3 is one of those treatments!

Why Omega 3?

Omega 3 is a natural fatty acid that decreases irritation and is a big help with itching and arthritis pain! Though it has effect in any inflammatory issue, Omega 3 has been effective in giving relief when traditional treatments alone have fallen short. When accompanied with bathing and antihistamine Omega 3 has helped in controlling the irritation of allergy pets and will soften and improve resistance of the skin to future allergens at the same time! In arthritis pain Omega 3 and glucosamine/chondroitin has controlled pain and made movement easier.

How to use

You want the ocean source of Omega 3 which is 20 times more bioactive than the plant source. Instead of only using for 30 days, we now use year round when needed to slow irritation on a more permanent basis. Often we can lower the dose of prescription anti-inflammatory drugs when stacked with TRI OMEGA 3. This removes some of the side effects seen with prescription drugs. The goal is to safely control the inflammation without the negative side effects!

Allergy and itching issues respond to TRI OMEGA 3 and it can be stacked with antihistamine or other prescription drugs safely. TRI OMEGA 3 softens skin and improves the resistance or skin barrier to allergies. When stacked with other allergy treatments, it will improve your success by controlling the scratching and resulting trauma.

Arthritis is an inflammatory issue that causes pain and lameness. TRI OMEGA 3 stacked with ACHES AWAY Stage III arthritis treatment has been effective at easing movement, controlling pain and protecting cartilage. During warmer seasons the combination of Omega 3 with glucosamine/chondroitin can lower anti-inflammatory drug doses and in some cases can give dogs a break from pharmaceutical drugs completely. Omega 3 has been getting lots of use with older pets and helps control coat and arthritis issues commonly seen in geriatric patients. Being all natural, it is gentle with the kidney marginal patients that are often difficult to treat for sore joints.

Dosing

Dosage is not complicated; TRI OMEGA 3 is used at 500 to 1000 mg per dog. Start at 500 mg then work up to 1000 depending on size of dog and amount of pain being treated. If you start at the high dose you may see loose stool from inability to utilize all of the fatty acid. Start low and work up is always a good policy with nutraceuticals.

Natural treatments for inflammation work and can be a big help in dealing with chronic issues such as itching and arthritis. Use TRI OMEGA 3 as a natural anti-inflammatory to keep your pets more comfortable.
