Ticks and the diseases that they carry can be found throughout the United States and Canada. Just one bite from a tick that is carrying a disease can infect your dog. Most tick-bourne diseases show few symptoms, if any. The SNAP® 4Dx® Plus Test quickly tests for 6 parasitic diseases. Using a small sample of whole blood, serum, or plasma, it detects heartworm, Lyme disease, Ehrlichia ewingii, Anaplasma platys, Anaplasma phagocytophilum, and Ehrlichia canis in dogs. Gives accurate results in just 8 minutes. Comes with transfer pipettes, sample tubes and reagent rack. 30 tests.
Store at 2-8°C until expiration date
SNAP devices and reagents can be stored at room temperature 18-25°C for 90 days or until the expiration date, whichever occurs first.
After SNAP devices and reagents are removed from 2-8°C for more than 24 hours, the expiration date is 90 days or the printed expiration date, whichever occurs first. If the 90-day expiration date occurs prior to the printed expiration date, record the new date in the space provided on the kit.
Samples must be at room temperature before beginning test.
HRPO conjugate (preserved with gentamicin and Kathon)
If stored in a refrigerator, allow all components to equilibrate at room temperature for 30 minutes before use. Do not heat. Dispense 3 drops of sample and 4 drops of conjugate into disposable sample tube. Gently shake the tube 4-5 times to mix. Pour the entire contents into the SNAP device. When color first appears, press firmly to activate. You will hear a distinct "snap." Read the test result in 8 minutes from the time of activation. Any color development in the sample spot indicates a positive result.
Note: The A. phagocytophilum/A. platys spot cannot differentiate between the two species: a positive result indicates presence of antibodies to A. phagocytophilum and/or A. platys. The E. canis/E. ewingii spot cannot differentiate between the two species: a positive result indicates presence of antibodies to E. canis and/or E. ewingii.
For use in dogs.
