Love the pooch pants. My Lab is 13 years old and is diabetic and we've not been able to successfully regulate her, so she drinks often, and therefore needs to pee often and has quite a volume of urine! So, sometimes she can't make it through the night. We pop the pooch pants on before we go to bed and take them off in the AM. Now, the occasional oops she has before we wake up at 6:30am is not the lake it used to be. She still sometimes leaks a bit out of the diaper, but the mess is much less to clean up. I have read that others have had success with putting an additional insert in the diaper to increase the absorbency, but the problem for us is not so great or frequent that I am looking into that option at this point. The velcro holds very well and the pants stay on. She's adjusted well to them, but she's also arthritic, so I don't know that she could really pull them off anyway. They also wash well. I wash them in hot water and let them air dry. I did learn to wash them with the velcro secured, otherwise if I was washing the open diaper with her bedding, the velcro sometimes sticks to the bedding. I tried disposable dog diapers and they did not fit nearly as well and they were expensive. I bought three of these diapers and that is enough for us---one off, one on, one in the washer. However, she does not wear it all day. My lab weighs 68 lbs and I bought the largest size.
