A comprehensive milk replacer that's just for puppies, Nutri-Cal Puppy Milk Replacer contains all the nutrients your puppies need to get off to a healthy start in life. Contains colostrum for disease resistance and direct-fed microbials (probiotics) to help establish normal bacterial population in the gastrointestinal tract, along with other vitamins, minerals and optimized levels of protein and fat. The veterinarian-formulated supplement can be used as a milk replacer or to enhance the mother's nutrition during late gestation and early lactation. To make 8 fl.oz. of milk replacer:
Add warm water approximately halfway to fill line above. Shake well. Then fill all the way to fill line with warm water and shake until all powder is dissolved. Refrigerate after mixing. Discard if not used within 24 hours after mixing. To mix less than 8 oz of formula, add 2 parts powder to 3 parts warm water and mix until all powder is dissolved. Do not mix more than will be consumed within 24 hours.
Feeding Instructions:
Puppies: Feed 2 Tbsp per 4 oz body weight daily. Give 6-8 feedings for the first 4 days, then gradually reduce to 4 feedings per day, dividing the daily dosage into equal portions for each feeding.
Pregnant/lactating dogs: Feed 2 tsp per 5 lbs body weight daily until 2 weeks after whelping.
