NeoVac^® DA2 prevents Canine Distemper, Adenovirus Type 1 (Hepatitis), and Adenovirus Type 2 (Respiratory Disease)

NeoVac^® DA2 is recommended for the vaccination of healthy dogs against diseases caused by canine distemper, adenovirus type 1 (hepatitis), and adenovirus type 2 (respiratory disease). All viruses in this vaccine are modified live versions of the virus. Recommended for use in healthy puppies 6 weeks of age or older.

Dosage:
- Vaccinate healthy dogs or puppies 6 weeks of age or older.
- Aseptically rehydrate vaccine with diluent supplied. Inject 1mL subcutaneously into healthy dogs.
- Administer the initial dose at or about 42 days of age. Because there is potential for materal antibody to interfere with the immune response to the original vaccination, revaccinate every 14 to 28 days until the dog is 16 weeks of age.
- Dogs over 16 weeks should receive a single dose.
- Annual revaccination with one dose is recommended.
Precautions:
- Store out of direct sunlight at 35-45°F (2-7°C).
- Do not freeze
- Shake well before using
- Use entire contents when first opened
- Do not mix with other vaccines
- Use new, non-chemically sterilized needles and syringes.
- Burn vaccine container and all unused contents
Warnings:
- Contains Gentamicin and Amphotericin B as a preservative
- Vaccinate only healthy, non-parasitized dogs
- Do not vaccinate pregnant bitches
- The use of a biological product may produce anaphylaxis and/or other inflammatory immune-medicated hypersensitivity reactions. Antidote: Epinephrine, corticosteriods, and antihistamines may all be indicated depending on the nature and severity of the reaction.
- The age at which material antibody for canine parvovirus no longer interferes with the development of active immunity varies according to the bitch's titer and quantity of colostral antibodies absorbed by the puppy.

Best Vaccine available - Hands Down!

I have used numerous vaccine brands through the years and the Neotech are the best hands down! I have lost puppies that were fully vaccinated when using the other brands but since switching to Neotech Neovac DA2 & Neopar, I have had no sick puppies in the last 8 years!

Ten Dose Vial

I have spoken with Dr. Bob Page personally and learned that you DO NOT have to use the entire 10 dose vial at once, providing you utilize sterile technique when entering the vial. Some label verbage is simply a safety precaution with regards to selling to a wide range of people, some with very lax and incorrect methods of vaccination. I have witnessed people using the same needle on many animals, as well as going back into the vaccine vial with a needle that has penetrated an animal.....this is just plain asking for trouble. This is a great product and the ONLY one I will use.

These are great vaccines! I vaccinate my own dogs for distemper and parvo, and these vaccines are easy to use, and have a great reputation. You can purchase the single doses rather than the 10 dose vial and avoid the issue that Cindy had. I love the fact that I can vaccinate for one disease at a time and give time between for the dogs immune system to recover. Vaccinating your own dog for these diseases also saves a lot of money. My vet charges an office fee of $52 plus $22 for the vaccine. I can purchase these vaccines and do it my self for less than $4-5 per dog.

This is a great product especially if you understand what you are dealing with. From the moment I saw Cindy's comment it occurred to me she may have one dog. The site explains everything very thoroughly thus even giving related articles on what you are going to experience. Live Virus should be stored between 38-45-F degrees. You don't want your dog getting sick like this. It is not easy to deal with.

Neopar and NeoVac DA2

I am a firm believer that the Neotech vaccines are the BEST on the market. After having a line of dogs that were 'vaccine sensitive"...I became aware that you could administer the Neopar and NeoVacDA2 vaccines individually, a week apart. By using just these core vaccines, I eliminated the problems I was having with vaccine sensitivity. What was it? Perhaps reactions to all the other needless live/killed virus in the 5 way/7 way vaccines! In any case, I use Neopar at day 35,NeoVacDA2 on day 42,then alternate weekly through a series of 3 ...and following up with both Neopar and NeoVacDA2 at 16 weeks, as my protocol. I send my pups to new homes at 8-9 weeks KNOWING they are protected! Been using this protocol since 2008 with no breakthroughs. THANKS Dr. Page!
