The board is pretty thin and the fleece cover isn't the best quality. We put a furniture pad on the vinyl tip because the tip moves up and down the wall when the cats jump on and off, and we don't trust that the vinyl part will protect the wall. There was no way for me to attach the support arm to the board that would cause the board to be level while mounted, so it looks like it's bound to fall off, when it's actually secure.
Even though it's a little lower quality than I was hoping for, I can't really complain because it was very cheap compared to other window shelves, and it's one of the only shelves I could find that didn't require screwing something into the wall or window. It supports the cat that's on it at the time, and the cats seem to find it an acceptable sturdiness to jump onto. If nothing else, it will serve it's purpose until I find a higher quality one that I really like.
