Bio Spot Active Care Just Born® milk replacer for kittens is the next best thing to mother's milk. The highly digestible formula has all the nutrients kittens need to get them off to a great start. Just Born® milk replacer for kittens adds DHA (an Omega-3 fatty acid) to the formula to support brain and eye development. It's the ideal formula supplement to use when faced with fostering kittens under four or five weeks of age or to give kittens a nutritional boost when needed. Just Born® also helps with older or orphaned kittens being weaned to solid food. Just mix a little warm milk replacer in with their new food to make a paste. Feed the mixture three to four times a day for the first week and then gradually increase the amount of dry food in the mixture so after six to seven weeks the kitten is fully on dry food. Bio Spot Active Care Just Born® milk replacer for kittens is available in ready-to-use liquid formula.

Just Born® Liquid Directions for Use: Weigh the kitten. Feed at least ½ oz. of Bio Spot Active Care Just Born® for every two ounces of body weight, daily. Kittens should be allowed to consume as much formula as they want. Shake well before using. To open, unfold the corner and cut along the dotted line. Pour liquid into an appropriate sized, clean nursing bottle or feeding syringe. Heat liquid by placing bottle in a pan of tepid water. Test temperature on your wrist. It should feel slightly warm. Do not microwave. After feeding, hold the kitten's head on your shoulder and rub his back gently until he burps.

Reclose carton and refrigerate after opening. Discard unused formula after 14 days. Your veterinarian should be consulted for advice about the care and feeding of kittens.
Orphaned Kittens: If possible, kittens should nurse from their mother for the first two days of their lives to receive nutrient rich colostrum. Mother’s colostrum provides temporary protection from numerous diseases and contains growth factors believed to stimulate protein synthesis, improve fat utilization, and promote cell growth. It is extremely important to weigh kittens frequently (every day) to ensure they are receiving adequate amounts of supplement. If a kitten loses weight after 48 hours, consult your veterinarian. Feed weak or small kittens every four hours; feed at eight hour intervals if strong and active. Kittens’ needs will vary and the time and amount may have to be increased or decreased, depending on the breed, growth rate and activity of the kitten. Make water readily available after kittens are two weeks old. Orphan kittens must be kept warm for proper digestion to occur. Also, use a warm, moist washcloth and gently wipe the kitten’s bottom until it wets and has a bowel movement, several times daily, to imitate a mother’s care. This is required for young kitten survival.
Weaning Kittens: Healthy kittens may be weaned when they are about 25 days old or when they can lap formula from a bowl. At this age, blend a high quality dry kitten food with equal parts of warm prepared Bio Spot Active Care Just Born® milk replacer as directed to make a paste. Feed the mixture three to four times a day for the first week. Each week, gradually increase the amount of dry food in the mixture so that after six to seven weeks the kitten is fully on dry food.
Pregnant and Lactating Queens: Mix one tablespoon of prepared Bio Spot Active Care Just Born® milk replacer per 5 pounds of body weight into the pregnant queen’s daily ration. Continue until the kittens are weaned.
Supplementation: If a supplement is desired for a growing kitten, show cat, large litter, geriatric or convalescing cat, simply mix one tablespoon of prepared Bio Spot Active Care Just Born® milk replacer per five pounds of body weight into the cat’s daily ration of food.
