HomeAgain^® Universal WorldChip^™ microchips are specially designed to prevent from migrating and comes with a convenient implantation syringe. The microchips come in 2 different frequencies, 125kHz and 134.2kHz. The HomeAgain^® Universal WorldScan^™ Pocket Reader reads all US microchips and 125kHz, 128kHz, and 134.2kHz frequencies. The microchips come with a sterile syringe that is pre-loaded with an unique chip. It's fast, clean, safe, and easy to use. They also include a Pet ID tag and preprinted HomeAgain^® Enrollment Form. Registration with HomeAgain^® costs $17.99 annually.

How to Inject a Microchip:

The injection site is in between the shoulder blades of your animal (Trapezius Muscle). The chip should be injected deep subcutaneously.
Prepare the site by administering alcohol to disinfect the area.
"Tent" the skin. Place the needle at the base of the "tent" at a 45 degree angle from the dorsal (back) midline, as when giving a vaccination.
Insert the needle fully until the hub comes into contact with the skin.
Slowly depress the syringe plunger to implant the microchip
Apply pressure on the injection site as the needle is withdrawn to prevent the chip from following the needle out of the track.

How to Use a Microchip Scanner:

Scan slowly - A fast pass over the animal may miss the microchip. Proper scanning should take 10 to 20 seconds depending on the size of the animal.
Scan directionally - Start by working across the animal's shoulders "east and west," making multiple passes, back and forth. Then work "north and south" from the pet's head to its tail, again making several slow passes.
Scan sides and below - Sometimes, but not often, microchips may migrate to other areas of the body.
Change arm angle - Sometimes the way you hold the microchip scanner affects whether the microchip registers on the scanner. Turn your arm 90 degrees and scan the same areas again.
Change operator - Have a second person scan if a chip was not found the first time. Studies have shown that a different operator may find a chip missed on the first attempt.

Easy to insert yourself (it recommends the vet but anyone who can read can accomplish this) and they work! My 2 year old GSD escaped my friends yard one evening, with no collar at all, no ID. We spent all night looking for him. The city pound called me in the morning to say they had my dog, all because of the chip. Awesome product with a good price!

All our cats have Home Again Chips! Our young Stud got out and we looked for him for almost 2 weeks before we got him home. The support from Home Again was above and beyond Wonderful. They help you with Posters to pass out and you can change them as many times as you want. We printed a ton and though he came back on his own. He was spotted and people called Home Again and they let us know where he was spotted. We feel it made all the difference in getting our Cat home!
