Great product

  • Some ferals
I have been doing cat/ kitten rescue and rehab for 15 years and have been using Heska intranasal for 10+ years. Never have had any trouble with any post vaccination illness, and I have vaccinated kittens without mothers immunity as early as 4 weeks old. Some people say their kittens got sick from the vaccines, but it was possible they were already exposed to the virus and vaccinated before symptoms appeared. Or, just the stress of someone inexperienced administering the vaccine could aggravate an existing pre - infection stage. Many pure bred kittens are healthy looking but have severely compromised immune systems due to genetics, environment, etc., as well as shelter cats/ kittens. Having a stuffy nose and sneezing for a while is still better than an injection site sarcoma anyday!

Reaction to the vaccines

Pros:
Cons:
I purchased these vaccines after reading all the great reviews. Administered to six healthy kittens. Within two days I had sick kittens with sneezing and problems breathing. They just did not improve for over a month. I tried antibiotics and even did medicated breathing treatments. Two of them still have breathing issues. It is like the drug may have caused scar tissue inside the nares? I have never had that happen while using injectables. I do not know if I got a "bad batch" or what to think, but I will never buy it again. I felt so bad for the kittens!

A safe way to go!

Pros:
Cons:
I used to give sub-q vaccines to my kitties, as well as feline rescues and fosters. The information on over vaccination, vaccination reactions requiring epinephrine, as well as vaccination sight melanomas, gave me the desire to look for options. Not only is the Ultranasal FVRCP safer in that respect, but it also INSTANTANEOUS! Because it is directly applied to the membranes, the effectiveness starts immediately! And, I have had no problems with reactions or cancers! I'm SOLD! Thank you, Revival, for offering a wide range of products for everyone's needs!

AngelGirls only uses the Heska intra-nasals.

Rating:
Pros:
Cons:
Here at AngelGirls We have been using Heska's UltraNasal FVRC vaccines since 2008 in order to cause the least amount of stress to our Ragdoll kittens. Feline UltraNasal Vaccines provide protection against the most prevalent causes of feline upper respiratory disease without the use of needles. For kittens, we use only the FVRC Vaccine, according to the VGG guidelines, reserving the panleukopenia vaccine (feline distemper) or (FVRCP) for a 12 week and older kitten. (Subject to change with VGG guidelines).

In addition to superior efficacy, Feline UltraNasal Vaccines also have several other benefits. Intranasal application eliminates the need for needles to administer the vaccine, thus reducing risk of injection site sarcomas or other undesirable reactions. Test data on file have shown that Heska's Feline UltraNasal Vaccines provide immunity within 2-4 days for upper respiratory disease.
