    • Capstar® is an oral tablet that effectively treats flea infestations on dogs and cats
    • Starts working within 30 minutes
    • Kills adult fleas that cause flea allergy dermatitis
    • May be given as often as once per day if re-infestation occurs
    • Safe for pregnant or nursing dogs and cats

Capstar® tablets kill adult fleas and are indicated for the treatment of flea infestations on dogs, puppies, cats and kittens. A single dose should kill the adult fleas on your pet and also kill adult fleas that cause flea allergy dermatitis. One dose starts working within 30 minutes to kill all the adult fleas on your pet. Another dose may be given as often as once per day if re-infestation occurs. In studies, Capstar achieved greater than 90% effectiveness against adult fleas on dogs within 4 hours and cats within 6 hours. Capstar may be used together with other products, including heartworm preventives, corticosteroids, antibiotics, vaccines, de-worming medications, shampoos and other flea products. Safe for kittens and puppies 2 pounds of body weight or greater and 4 weeks of age and older. Also safe for pregnant or nursing dogs and cats.
Not for use in puppies or kittens less than 4 weeks of age or weighing less than 2 pounds.
    Not for human use.
When using this product, you may notice that your dog or cat will start scratching itself as fleas begin to die. The scratching behavior is temporary and is a reaction to the fleas, not the drug.

Keep out of the reach of children.

    Storage:
Store at controlled room temperature between 59°F and 77°F (15°F to 25°C).
Active ingredient: Choose between 11.4 or 57.0 mg of Nitenpyram.
Weigh your pet prior to administration to ensure proper dosage. To give Capstar Tablets, place the pill directly in your pet's mouth or hide it in food. If you hide the pill in food, watch closely to make sure your pet swallows the pill. If you are not sure that your pet swallowed the pill, it is safe to give a second pill. A single dose of Capstar should kill the adult fleas on your pet. If your pet gets re-infested with fleas, you can safely give another dose as often as once per day. Treat all infested pets in the household. Fleas can reproduce on untreated pets and allow infestations to persist.

    A real wonder worker!

I've used this product for the past two years almost exclusively in my small kennel. I have a couple of dogs with bad flea allergies, but these are breeding animals, and I was concerned about any other form of control. I have used this successfully on pregnant dogs, and on nursing mommies as well as others--and it works wonders EVERY time! The nursing girls also impart the control to their pups, and the fleas die on them as well.

I've found that the effect lasts for at least 3-4 days, ad there are no more fleas on them during that time. I have had to dose a couple even during the winter here in the deep South, but it is not a regular thing, and my dogs are basically flea-free year around...in sheer cost, this is a great product; and I only buy it once a year in quantity, MUCH less expensive per use and per amount of control than ANYTHING else I've ever used!

I have used capstar on my shitzhu, Cody, for years when he gets fleas in between his monthly flea regimen. He has terrible flea allergies and Capstar has been a life saver for us! It is amazng how fast it kills the fleas! My husband was skeptical and did not think Capstar would react as fast as advertised, but it did. Cody's monthly regimen is necessary to keep fleas and ticks at guard; however, there are times when he needs that extra help, especially during summer months. Personally, I don't think Capstar is meant to be your only flea regimen, but as an extra boost when needed.

    Great product!!

I'm keeping this product on hand! Even though my dogs are treated monthly, sometimes they pick up some fleas towards the end of the month and when we go to my family's in the country. Last year I had the hardest time getting rid of fleas; I bought this product, continued a monthly treatment, and treated the yard and carpet with D/Earth...all was back in order within a couple of weeks. Highly recommended to keep on hand for summer months for infestations (make sure you keep using the monthly product, too).

    Great!

This stuff is great. The ONLY flea killer I feel safe enough to give our 20 year old cat. I just tucked the tab into a spoonful of wet food, and they didn't even know what hit 'em. I had no severe reactions from anyone. The most "severe" one I had was 2 of our cats started running around the place all berzerk as the fleas begin to die. But it was honestly no different than when they've run around because they're hyper. Within 6-7 hours 100% of the fleas on everyone was dead, and they curled up or threw themselves down on the floor and slept peacefully for hours. It was so amazing to see because we've been struggling with fleas on and off for years, never finding a solution that worked 100%. We tried the natural methods, but we have a lot of cats and it just never worked. I am definitely buying again!

We leave our dog with a friend when we travel but even tho he is on Revolution, he comes home with some fleas. We give him a Capstar on the way home and avoid bringing any fleas Into the house. The downside is that it only lasts for 24 hours so you definitely need another monthly flea protection.
