Microchip Scanners
  • Using a radio signal, Avid scanners are able to read a microchip number through the animal's skin, displaying the number on the screen.
  • The Mini Tracker only reads American Avid chips.
  • The Mini Tracker MultiScan reads all Avid and HomeAgain chips.

Microchips
  • DNA (Disposable Needle Assembly) chips are preloaded in a needle - simply twist the needle onto the implanter and squeeze the trigger to implant the chip. Implanter is sold separately.
  • FriendChip SUDS (Single Use Disposable Syringe) microchips come preloaded in a single syringe. The sterile chip is held in position and won't slide out of the needle until the plunger is pushed.
  • MUSICC (Multiple Use Syringe Injector Chip Carrier) chips come in a quick-load dispenser with 25 non-sterilized microchips, making it easy to load the chip into the needle without touching the microchip. Needle and syringe sold separately.
