Also helpful for the management of dermatologic disorders characterized by inflammation and dry or exudative dermatitis, particularly those cause, complicated or threatened by bacterial or candidal (Candida albicans) infections. It is also of value in eczematous dermatitis, contact dermatitis and seborrheic dermatitis and as an adjunct in the treatment of dermatitis due to parasitic infection.
Active ingredients: Nystatin, Neomycin Sulfate, Thiostrepton, Triamcinolone Acetonide
At recommended dosage, Animax is extremely well tolerated.

    Side Effects:
With topical application, side effects are rare. Dogs may have a sensitivity to neomycin. Temporary hearing loss may occur in ear application when used in conjunction with other corticosteroids. With high dosage and prolonged treatment of corticosteroids, there may be signs of SAP & SGPT enzyme elevations, polydipsia, polyuria, vomiting, diarrhea or Cushing's disease. Corticosteroids are also known to premature birth and birth defects.
Because of possibility of premature birth and birth defects, use extreme caution in pregnant dogs. Do not use in animals with neomycin sensitivity.

Not for use in deep abscesses or infections. Before administering to the ear, ensure the eardrum is intact and the tympanic membrane is not ruptured. Application to damaged eardrums can cause further infection or damage.

    4. Please do NOT dispose of unwanted meds down the drain or toilet, as this may eventually find its way into the human water supply.

    Disposal of medical sharps:

    1. When you're finished with the syringe and needle, do not try to recap, remove, bend or break the needle. This is where most injuries occur.
    2. Dispose the syringe and needle immediately in a nearby sharps container. All sharps must be deposited in a puncture-proof container. Make sure your storage location is child and animal proof.
    3. As with all product handling, make sure you wash your hands after handling medical sharps.

    Disposal of sharps container:

    1. When your sharps container is half-full, sift dry Portland Cement throughout the sharps. Fill the container with water, and rotate until the cement is mixed and the sharps have been distributed throughout the cement mixture. Let cement dry for 24 hours.
    2. Seal the lid of the container tightly and use duct tape to seal. Label the container “Livestock Sharps” to properly identify the contents.
    3. Dispose of the containers in accordance with your state’s regulations.
