Individual animals vary in their nutritional needs and amounts of milk replacer should be adjusted to those needs. Always use good judgment and caution. Baby animals should receive at least one feeding of colostrum milk. For each species, follow the instructions carefully. Always feed at regular intervals. Make any changes gradually. Wash all feeding equipment and utensils after each use. Keep animals in clean, well ventilated area free from drafts. Avoid sudden changes in temperature.

Each pail includes a measuring cup that holds approximately 4 oz dry weight.

Puppies/Kittens: Dissolve 2 oz of dry powder (½ c) in 2 cups of water. Reconstituted milk replacer should be fed at the daily rate of 2 tablespoons per ¼ lb body weight and divided into equal portions for each feeding. Needs will vary depending on individual size, but small puppies and kittens should be fed every two to three hours for the first two weeks. Feed at room temperature. To determine correct feeding, weigh three times a week.
Adults: When used as a food supplement during convalescence, to combat stress in show dogs and show cats, or in old age, feed as liquid or sprinkle dry over feed as follows: Dogs - 1 Tbsp per 5 lbs body weight; Cats - 1 tsp per 5 lbs body weight. Pregnancy/lactation - double dosage, feed until two weeks past birth.

Calves: Feed colostrum within the first 30 minutes after birth. Feed an additional two quarts at 6 to 12 hours of age and continue feeding colostrum for the first three days. No whole milk is required after the colostrum feeding period when calf milk replacer is used. Mix milk replacer powder at the rate of 8 oz of dry powder (2 cups) per 2 quarts of warm water (100° to 120° F). Feed approximately two quarts of reconstituted milk replacer twice a day. Calves will vary in feed requirements depending on size and age. When feeding to larger numbers of calves, mix one lb of dry powder (by weight) to one gallon of warm water.

Baby Pigs: Mix 4 oz of dry powder (1 cup) with one quart of warm water and feed in shallow feeder. Keep fresh milk in front of baby pigs at all times. Sprinkle dry powder on starter feeds to assist in weaning.

Foals: Mix 6 oz of dry powder (1½ cups) with one quart of warm water and feed four times per day for the first week of life. From week two through four, mix 8 oz of powder (2 cups) with 1½ quarts of water and feed three times per day. Mix 12 oz of dry powder (3 cups) with 3 quarts of water and feed two times per day for the next two weeks. Add ¼ lb of 16% protein grain ration per day at two weeks of age and increase to appetite. Sprinkle one cup of dry powder on top of ration twice daily.

Kids: Feed heat-treated colostrum during the first day of life. (Heat to 135° F and hold at this temperature for one hour.) Mix 4 oz of dry powder (1 cup) in 1½ pints of 110°-120° F water, then cool to 90°-100° F for hand feeding. Feed three to four times a day for the first five days, then feed just twice a day until weaned. Feed as much as they will drink, starting with one pint per feeding and increasing to 1½ pints when feeding only twice a day. Provide hay and a grain mix in self-feeders when kids are one week old.

I was first introduced to the more expensive version of this, Foster Care for Dogs, at my work. We use this product for any dogs who have diarrhea or as another add in to their food if they are not eating. It is awesome. I decided that I wanted this stuff for my dogs as a food supplement. They love it, with or without a little water mixed in.

We 1st tried this after getting several bad cans of goat milk and Esbilac... Apparently the heat does something to the fat used in making those products and it spoils, even though the expiration date isn't for months or a year to come...THE All star milk was recommended to us by a friend, it is very easy to digest, poos are nice, it mixes easy with boiling water. Stores nicely and the babies love it. It smells like creamy custard/vanilla pudding...I want to lick it off my fingers when I make it. But it says not for human consumption, so I have never tried it. We have purchased maybe 20 buckets and I think only one time did I ever get a bad one. The bucket was smashed in transit.. so I think the seal was broken, is what happened on that one. And that was 2-3 years ago.

I bought this replacer for my eight feral cats/kittens. Mama cat is very small. They love it! I needed something that was of high quality, good quantity, and reasonably priced. This replacer fit the bill. They are thriving and are very healthy. The neighborhood Skunk has put his seal of approval on it as well. I will be buying more

We've been using this as a supplement for our puppies when needed or to just sprinkle on top of their food to encourge them to eat more. They love it and over the past 6 or 8 years since we've been using it, I cannot even tell you how many puppies we've saved by tube feeding this to them. I've heard all the "hype" about only feeding an actual puppy replacer, but we've been using this before we ever heard that and have had nothing but great results so am not going to stop. It really smells good, even to us humans, I can see why they love it. They'll lap it up when old enough and no longer need tubing. The price compared to regular puppy milk replacers is amazing! We once had a litter of ten day old puppies all get sick from their mother having "Toxic Milk" from a mastitis and the vet told us to tube feed a replacer. We bought this from a local feed store in a hurry, ended up using a total of two buckets, but saved all 13 Lab puppies! They were not only strong and healthy after only a day, but were all very fat and happy by the time they were weaned. They didn't just survive--they THRIVED using this milk!! Completely recommend this to anyone needing to tube or bottle feed a litter of babies of any species listed on the tub. I also recommend this if you have thin babies as it adds nutrition and calories to fatten them up. Mix it up and place in a dish or sprinkle over their food, they love it!!

I rescued a kitten who was at most 3 weeks old. This milk replacer is so much more reasonably priced than the usual kitten formula and all our barn cats like it. The kitten especially loves it! It smells so good!
